GP9 Sonic 2D Digitizer with Excel
a two-dimensional measuring tool
- GTCO Calcomp's GP9 is a small, portable (no tablet) two-dimensional measuring tool and 2D sonic digitizer with an active area of 40" x 60" or 36" x 48".
The GP9 is based on sonic ranging technology. You select a point on a drawing, microfiche image, picture or 'flattened' pattern with a four-button cursor or stylus. A sonic pulse is emitted and received by two microphones in the controller determining the travel time. The distance to the emitter from each microphone is calculated (d=r*t) and triangulation used to determine the XY coordinates of the selected point.
- A Windows software application interface automatically, directly inserts the XY coordinates into Excel column and row cells (as well as Rhino, Mastercam and similar design, analysis and control applications) to calculate distances, areas and other functions.
REMTEK markets and supports the GP9 sonic digitizer for Excel, Rhino and similar design, analysis and control Windows applications.
